NHGGFU: Poker Blog

So I stayed up all night as I woke up wed lunchtime and had a lot of stuff to do (and some poker to get in). While I was playing poker, I railed JohnnyBax in a FTOPS short-handed event - he went from CL in an FTOPs event to busting just before final table (he was playing for the win, and rightly so). I also watched a few English pros I have been railing recently (yeah I am sad, but it’s entertaining) - These guys ain’t getting much night-time sleep either as all the big games on stars seem to be on when the U.K is (supposed to be) asleep.

I played some $2.5/$5. NLHE cash, some sngs into the wee hours , then I played some rebuys Thursday morning / afternoon. I am running so effing disgustingly bad at SNGs this month.. I think I tightented my sng game up way too much - but the other half of my is convinced it is just neg variance (I am losing >70% of my 50/50’s..)..

10 Euros rebuy (9th/90)
4k Euros rebuy (11th/250)
4500 Euros rebuy (11th/175)

Pretty sick I didn’t at least get in the top 3 in one of `em, but obviously i can be thankful I am playing good and running OK. I am actually playing the best tournament poker of my life recently - and it is due to watching a bunch of MTT videos on some poker training sites I think. Previously I was relying on my cards and position too much - now I am able to make great reads and plays to scoop important chips and chip up. When I get busted during a big play, I still have to explain the play to the first level thinkers (and look like a donk) who happen to be railing me. When these plays work, I am a genius obv haha..

Anyway hopefully today will yield a top 3 cash or two, I plan on playing no more than 6mtts today, so I’ll see how it goes, and blog it up for my records. Can’t be bothered with screenshots today either.
