Not updated this in a while.. where to start? hmm..
Live:
I played a £50 rebuy the other night (invited thru a poker forum I visit sometimes) – I fancied it cos I am playing GUKPT Newcastle this week (£1080 Buyin) and it was a good opportunity to get some live practice..
30 runners (I recognised most of em from local casino – field was actually pretty good standard ,and included GBPT winner Colin Wu, and a GUKPT finalist whos name escapes me right now)..
Anyway, easy money. Starting stack was 5k and I chipped up to 22k in 90 mins with no rebuys, took an addon then pretty much grinded solidly.
I lost a flip with 8′s v AKs but was patient and managed to hit the FT 3rd in chips, and high in confidence due to some good reads.
The CL didn’t want to do a chop which was fine with me, so we paid 5th 50quid for his trouble and played for the win. Anyway I overcame a chip-deficit and won £1100 quid. It was an interesting game for a number of reasons that I won’t get into here, however It was pretty well organised, and I am a big fan of games with fat prizepools. Playing live homegames is a drag in some respects, cos you have to put up with all sorts of people (who are not necessarily sober) and situations which you just don’t have to deal with online.
nowt else exciting has been happening in poker for me apart from running like shit online (eg. I lost a flip worth $9,000 with QQ when there was 16 left in the 109 on stars for CL and FT dominance etc.. On Cash tables, my aces have been cracked x3 in a week for about £6k too and yada yada.. bad beat stories aint worth blogging, as I don’t wanna particularly remember them.. All I need to remember is that Negative variance is a whore…. as if I could ever forget).
Oh yes, someone left a comment on my blog that wasn’t tramadol or viagra spam hahaha. awesome. can you imagine 149 spam comments on your blog in 5 days? keep the comments coming telling me what a retard/donkey I am. I really do live for that stuff…
