I played virtually no online-poker this weekend as I had a buddy visiting from London. He was leaving on Sunday at 3, so I decided to play the ?25+5 mtt (1 ?25 add on or rebuy permitted) in my local Gala Casino (Dundee).

The starting stack was 5k chips with decent blind structure. 40 players started, and I chipped up to about 13k and took a 5k add-on for 25quid. I didn’t try anything fancy, played hands in position and showed a lot of big hands so my table image was strong. I wiped out a shortish-stack when my pocket Kings held Versus his Ten Ten on a 9 high board, and i was up to about 35k when 2 tables remained. I kept my nose clean and made some good calls, and managed to get to the final table 3rd in chips (with about 60k).

I played good on the final table, and made some good resteals when I thought I could. Eventually I knocked out a player who shoved his 40k stack UTG with AJo (My AK held.. GG.) and I was chip-leader. When we got down to four (with blinds on 3k/6k) everyone was hovering around 80-100k, so we decided on a 4 way chop since anything else was a crap-shoot. After tipping the table staff etc, we all walked off with about ?415 each. not bad for a few hours listening to tunes, playing cards and drinking.
