This is the internet.. world of torrents, tv-on demand, VOIP… and poker piracy.

Poker piracy is as in your face as any other form of piracy these days- in fact many people are cashing in on poker video piracy (as well as providing portals to pirated poker videos) to generate large revenues.

Should poker rooms give money to affiliates who host (and/or permit download of) copyrighted material, or to those who creating web-sites dedicated to pointing you towards such material?

Here is a small sample of some of the poker sites on the ‘net with “free poker stuff”.

• The Poker Bay - The pirate bay, only for poker.. You want Texas Dolly’s super system? Yes, you can download it as a .pdf. Wanna see Phil Hellmuth videos? no problem.. This site has hundreds of Live and instructional videos and Games (e.g Stacked) for Download. Tut Tut. Perhaps the biggest Poker Torrents Site on the `net.
• PokerTube - Claims to be “a video community for poker players”. It is youtube style site, with a slick design, and a small but expanding database of live poker events. (but no strip poker events.. yet!)

Are there any other good poker torrents or streaming poker videos sites which you are aware of?

Some people will do anything to be on TV (incidentally my friend Ray was on Deal or No Deal not so long ago and won a stonking 18k Sterling).

Been awhile since I mentioned my own poker life, so here’s a slice of my life:

Tonight I was very unexpectedly offered sponsorship worth $2100 into any european ranked poker event that I choose (for a very reasonable %age share of any winnings).

Instantly I quite fancied the Irish poker Open, however it starts on thursday and would mean a lot of last minute faffing around, juggling work commitments and such.. So I think I am going to be a crazy fool and pass this one up for now, and find something else to donk off in
